During our recent trip to Ottawa from Montreal, my family (two adults and four kids) stumbled upon an incredible restaurant that exceeded all expectations. Run by a warm and welcoming couple, this spot offered not only delicious food with a creative twist but also a fantastic family-friendly atmosphere. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends. The owners’ passion for their food and hospitality was evident in every interaction. The menu featured classic dishes with unique, flavourful twists. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. What truly set this place apart was its dedicated kids’ section filled with games, making it an absolute win for families. Our kids were entertained and happy, allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal—a rare treat when dining out as a family of six! The combination of outstanding food, friendly service, and a thoughtful family-oriented concept makes this restaurant a must-visit in Ottawa. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning the next time we’re in town!

BAMM’s is a gem. The owners clearly love what they do and that comes out in the experience. The donuts are MASSIVE - genuinely shocked when I saw them as the pics online don’t do them justice. Had some incredible wings, tons of meat and were extremely juicy. From the outside it looks like a cute neighbourhood shop/bar, and on the inside it was eclectic, bright and just filled with all sorts of things that bring out the kid in all of us. Great chat with the owners, super friendly and clearly want to bring this little bit of joy to the neighbourhood. Just super cool and delicious!

Have been getting the donuts here for a few weeks now after being told about them by a neighbour (they’re phenomenal, and HUGE). Decided to pop in for their St Patty’s brunch and wow - this seriously exceeded all my expectations! I had the eggs benny with corned beef on potato hash (bonus, they had tater tots on the side instead of breakfast potatoes). This was seriously the BEST eggs benny I’ve had in Ottawa in forever. The service was friendly and inviting, the prices are more than reasonable, and the food was genuinely incredible. I almost want to gatekeep this place because it was nice to walk in for brunch without a line, but these guys deserve all the success in the world. Really, really impressed and so happy to have this gem in my neighbourhood. If you’re in the neighbourhood I’d highly suggest popping by (although it’s worth going out of your way for), and I really hope brunch becomes a regular occurrence here!

If you're looking for a casual place to eat some of your favourite fried comfort meals look no further. This family friendly hidden gem serves home-cooked quality comfort food with a twist. Quite busy during the Tuesday lunch hour we had a comfortable place to sit with an arcade room in the back. One of those places you don't feel apologetic to bring the kids along. The smoked lemonade was a surprise treat you must try, and the fish was a huge hearty portion. Burger meat had a gorgeous smoke flavour but still maintained the backyard BBQ taste. Stay for a quick bite or make an afternoon at it, by no means fine dining but quality experience for sure

On one hand, I want to gatekeep Bamm's because it's so good and never too busy. On the other hand, people deserve to know about it. A true Ottawa hidden gem. Incredible food, friendly service, and fair prices. Their burger is maybe my favourite in the city, and the donuts are the best I've ever had. They're constantly doing daily specials to switch things up and they're always unreal. I also appreciate that they host community events. Somehow, most people I talk to haven't heard of this place. Stop by here for lunch before it blows up!!!

Your head is probably bigger than the cinnamon buns here, but it seems like not by much. The doughnuts. Wow. Have an empty stomach. Buy something yummy you've been craving for a while. Maybe visit with a group so you can share the noms.
